Finish A-long Q2 2015

Wow where did those 3 months go, as it is now time to list my projects for the Q2 Finish A-long that is hosted by Adrianne from On the Windy Side. They say that if you have goals you need to write them down so when the opportunity came to join this years Finish Along I jumped at it as I felt this would help me focus on finishing projects. So far I am impressed at how it is keeping me focused. I have not finished all my items that I listed in the Q1 but I was also extremely ambitious!

This quilt is ready for quilting and I now have the backing fabric to sandwich it together

This is the backing fabric that I purchased last week.

I am on the last square of hand quilting of the Laurel Birch Christmas panel

I am itching to get back onto this quilt so I hope to get there in Q2.

I am so close to getting this finished as I am now onto the letter Z but with cross-stitch it is so easy to miss the counting and not get it in the right place therefore I ended up unpicking a bit this weekend!

Then there is the new project. I am fascinated with this quilt and the book arrived in the post this week so I am now auditioning fabric.

Have a great week

  1. Lots of fun times ahead Heather. You'll find la passacaglia all consuming - I end up gluing pieces when I should be cooking dinner. But that pattern can make beautiful quilts, so it's all worth it. PS - I love those blue Chinese vases.

  2. Nice going Heather! And I've also been tempted by all those wonderful Passacaglia quilts which pop up all over the internet. I even googled the book, but was able to hold back ordering it. It will be a long term project, but that's the fun of it and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
