Framing Flowers - Mum's Birthday Quilt

My mother has just turned 80 this month, so it was a perfect time to make a quilt for her birthday. She loves her garden so when I found the Kaffe Fassett print it just reminded me of her and her colours. The print is dramatic so to cut it up meant I lost a lot of the picture, so I decided to try to keep the fabric in blocks so that I got the beauty of the print. This is the quilt that I designed for her.

I machine quilted with straight line stitching, and free motion quilted around the flowers in the centre panel, which is the top photo.

And the most important item is to label the  quilt.

Thanks for the visit
